
Dr. Treena Gillespie Finney
Dr. Treena Gillespie Finney is a Professor of Management at the Mitchell College of Business. She began her career in industry after earning a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She worked in Organizational Effectiveness at United Airlines World Headquarters where she provided internal consulting work for operations and for corporate projects. She then moved to Disneyland Resort as Manager of HR Research. Dr. Gillespie Finney joined the faculty at USA in 2007. Her research interests include abusive supervision, customer-directed counterproductive work behavior, employee motivation, and organizational staffing. She has served as a reviewer for a number of academic publications and conferences.

- Employee selection and development (e.g., 360-degree feedback)
- International HR issues, including the applicability of constructs cross-culturally
- Negative or destructive leadership (e.g., antecedents of abusive and toxic leadership and the effects of this “dark” leadership)
- Customer-directed behaviors (e.g., customer-directed counterproductive work behavior)
- Negotiation and conflict
- Gender issues
