James was born and raised in Mississippi. He received his Bachelor's degree and later his Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of South Alabama. During his time as a student, James developed a deep love and appreciation for the university and its community. He values building meaningful connections with students and helping them explore the wide range of opportunities South has to offer. Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with friends and family, getting lost in a good book, and listening to great music.
