From acceptance to graduation, our goal is to provide you the resources and support you need to assist in your successful transfer to South. We have a dedicated Transfer Team of First Responders to answer all of your transfer questions. From financial aid, to admission, to available scholarships, to academic advising, we have you covered! At South, academic advising is about you! If you want to schedule an advising appointment before attending new student orientation, please call 251-341-4017 or email aatshelp@southalabama.edu. Academic Advising & Transfer Service's (AATS) staff will assist you in meeting with an advisor in the AATS office or will get you connected to an advisor in your major. 

Bring a copy of your transcript with all of your coursework to your first advising appointment. You and your advisor will work together to get your transfer work unofficially evaluated and create your first South Alabama academic plan. You will use this plan to register for classes. Please keep in mind, this evaluation is unofficial. Once the Registrar has completed their official evaluation of your transcript, if a class adjustment is needed, please contact us and we can help determine alternative class options.

Your academic advisor is knowledgeable concerning many aspects of university life and can provide you information and advice on utilizing the opportunities available on campus. 

While working with your advisor, you will:
