Tuesday Evening Physics

During the Fall Semester each year, the Department of Physics at the University of South Alabama presents its Tuesday Evening Physics program. Aimed at local high school students, the program will present topics in physics that are often in the news but are seldom presented in high school classes. The sessions are free of charge and open to high school students as well as teachers and parents. Each session will be held in Room 240 in the Mathematical Sciences and Physics Building (MSPB) on the University's main campus. Each session will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end by 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. Participants attending all six sessions will receive a certificate of participation.

Also note that due to limited seating, reservations are required.  For reservations, please contact us by calling (251) 460-6224 or email us at tinazdenek@southalabama.edu. Students are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before the lecture for sign-in and seating.
