Welcome Jag family! We are so excited that your student has chosen to attend South this fall.

Our office is committed to your student's success during this transition. With that being said, your incoming freshman will have the opportunity to register for an orientation session in June or July, before they enroll, to help them prepare for their first semester at South. We will also host a Southbound Orientation Open House in August that will be tailored to the needs of new students. 

As orientation season approaches, please feel free to check out our FAQs and Admitted Student Checklist. Both will help you and your student prepare for their Journey to JagNation. Additionally, our office will continue to update your student with orientation information via their JagMail and their admission portal, so your family can find important details in these places as well. 

One more thing! The newest edition of the Parent Handbook and other resources will be provided to parents of incoming freshmen who register for orientation this summer with their student. In the meantime, we have created an Orientation Hub in the South Alabama Family Connect family portal that has all the resources and information you need to help guide you for your Family Orientation session and beyond. There will be posts, presentations, and links, and more that you can refer to as your family embarks on their journey as Jaguars.
